I play an old Yamaha T100 with my punk rock band, the T100 is the circuit built for Yamaha by Mike Soldano, that was the starting point for the first SLO-100.
They are very punchy and dynamic, with very musical highs! The gain structure is not grainy and is very articulated, so you can definitely dial some awesome blues tones!
Mr. Mark Knopfler itself used the SLO to record some songs, and that say’s a lot! Lots of clean headroom, overdrives from mild to high gain, its a very musical and versatile amp!
